I just pulled a Frank H. Wentz bottle out of a box in the basement. I found your site on Google when I was looking to find info about it. I see you are buying things, and I have only one Dipple crock. It's probably a factory reject, because the glaze on the outside is all splotchy, although the inside is fine. Let me know if you're interested in the crock!
Hello, Gene. Thank you for your inquiry. The Patent D Lewistown Coke bottles are fairly common, and I have several of them already. Your bottle would have been made in 1938.
I have a coke btl from Lewiston,pa... It has an pat. no. D105529 and an OWENS ILLINOIS mark 2" down from that and a date 19 38. the mark is vertical tho.If you want it make an offer and I'll get back to you. The condition is good as it was dug up in an old dump site. Embossing is worn but legiable. Hope to hear from you. Gene
Thank you for the information, John. I will add the J.R. Goss bottle to the Milk Bottles section. It is always great to find out about local bottles that I did not know about.
